Laura Yawanawa is working with the Yawanawa Sociocultural Association (ASCY) on various projects such as community tourism, women's lives and well-being, and developing a Yawanawa fashion line, as an alternative economic livelihood for the women. She also works with the Institute of Climate Change and Regulation of Environmental Services (IMC), a government agency just created in the State of Acre. She works specifically on the Indigenous Peoples' program.
